Dining out can be a pricey experience, but it doesn’t have to be! There are several outstanding Happy/Appy Hour options to choose from in Providence, whether you’re looking for local seafood, global fusions, tacos, steak, or sliders! Stop by any of these spots to sample some of their best, at a discount. Just remember to tip accordingly! It’s brutal out here.

Providence Oyster Bar wants to give their guests a distinguished and memorable seafood dining experience and encourages them to spoil themselves, starting with their Appy Hour, offered Monday-Sunday from 3pm-5:30pm, with buck-a-shuck fresh oysters, little necks, and cherry stones, and a plethora of other affordable appetizers, such as $6 sushi rolls, $7 Buffalo Scallops, and $8 Lobster Wontons.

Mill’s Tavern runs a half-price Happy Hour from 5pm-6:30pm every day, and a half-off wine bottle special on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with new wines being featured weekly! Indulge in oysters on the half-shell and shrimp cocktail, tempura artichokes, stuffies, and charcuterie and ask your server for a pairing recommendation for the full experience. Unique, charming, and award winning, these specials give everyone an opportunity to enjoy modern fine dining at one of Providence’s premier culinary destinations.

Federal Tap House makes globally-inspired comfort food made with local ingredients and serves them in a fun and welcoming environment. They run a fabulous Appy Hour from 4pm-6pm every day, offering $1 Oysters and Little Necks on the half shell, $5 Carne Asada Tacos and Loaded Tater Tots, $6 Chicken Parmesan Egg Roll and Tempura Fried Cauliflower, and $7 Ahi Tuna Nachos, among several other equally delectable options (these are just some of my go-tos). Stop by for $3 tacos and $6 margs on Taco Tuesday, or enjoy their Steak and Wine Wednesday night specials!

Harry’s Burgers offers half-priced sliders from 3pm-5pm every day, at all locations. Their black PASTRAMI BURGER is a must, but if you want it all, go for the M.O.A.B – the Mother of All Burgers, topped with cheese, hickory smoked bacon, portobello mushroom, and fried onion strings. Pair any of these with a boozy shake – their Frozen Oreo is a forever favorite, made with chocolate rum, Bailey’s, Oreo cookies, chocolate syrup, and vanilla ice cream. For a seasonal special, go for the limited-time-only hard Pumpkin Pie Shake, with the equally special Crispy Chicken Thanksgiving Slider.
