While Providence, RI might not be as big a beer city as Portland or Denver, it still has a local brewery scene that is definitely worth checking out. Especially if you like trying different beers and supporting local brewers. Long Live Beerworks

Armando DeDona, head brewer at Long Live, is a hardcore hop enthusiast and a craftsman at heart. Whether he’s building a bar or crafting a recipe, he’s always working with his hands.

Armando’s passion for brewing began over 16 years ago when he received a brew kit as a gift. And, his love for craft beer started a good deal earlier than that. A natural problem-solver and creator, Armando honed his brewing skills over the many years as a homebrewer. To get legit, Armando studied commercial beer-making and traditional cask-conditioning in the U.K. and continues to stay in-tune with the latest in the scene.

Long Live Beer! They’re passionate about creating hop-forward beer and inventive cask-conditioned ales. If you like IPA’s, Long Live is the place for you!

Beer on Earth

Beer on Earth began their journey with a 30-quart stockpot bought at Job Lot, a mesh bag, a bunch of books about beer, and an intense desire to make beers that we could be proud of. Focused on brewing styles not typically found in the region, they researched ingredients, refined recipes, and applied feedback to brew the best beer possible on their 3-gallon system week after week.

After brewing for almost a year in North Kingstown, their team decided it was time to increase their capacity and look into canning our beer. For them, this meant relocating to a new space in Providence, RI, and bringing on Cody Anderson as our head brewer to run the brewing operations.  Now they brew 10 BBL batches of beer at a time and intend on canning beer and distributing it throughout the Providence area. They work with local artist, Paul Endres Jr., for can labels, logo work, and a mural in the taproom, which is funky and art-centric. Through their taproom, they hope to create a fun, diverse, and laid-back community of beer drinkers in Providence over the next several years!

Beer on Earth is always trying cool ideas – for example, their blackberry donut beer is a light-bodied, tart, refreshing kettle sour fermented with blackberry puree. Or their imperial stout that pours opaque black and has milk chocolate and candied fruit on the nose. Subtle flavors of cinnamon, cacao, toffee, and roast round out the flavor profile. Talk about flavorful beers!

Trinity Brewhouse

Trinity beer is crafted with the finest quality ingredients from around the world and filtered Scituate Reservoir water from right here in Little Rhody.
